WHAT IS IT, WHERE IS IT?
The Daily Courier's Community Page on Tuesdays features "What is it, where is it?" - photographs from the local area that we encourage readers to figure out.

The first person to call or e-mail with the correct answer will get their name in the newspaper the next week along with a more easily recognizable photo of the same scene.

Each winner's name will go into a drawing for a prize that month. Correct respondents will be eligible for the prize only in the month in which they answer correctly.

Please call City Editor Steve Stockmar at 445-3333, ext. 2032, or e-mail sstockmar@prescottaz.com with your guess. Be sure to include a contact number and where you live (Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, etc.).

The five signs of sleep deprivation
We all occasionally burn the candle at both ends. We study late for exams, rise early for work and socialize with friends in the evening, all of which means we have fewer hours to rejuvenate our bodies and minds with sleep. Column: 72 virgins aren't always a good thing

Avoiding the unspeakable landscape
Spring and fall... the best seasons to be adding to our landscapes. When thinking of altering your home's landscape, remember the 60 percent rule. It dictates the perfect balance between plants and the inanimate objects in your yard. It specifies that 60 percent of an outdoor property should be comprised of living, breathing plants.

Non-working cable outlets only a danger to blood pressure
I have to start this week with an "update" to a funny story. I use a wireless Bluetooth earbud with my cell phone. Last year I told you this can cause problems. I was walking out of a restaurant and called my wife. When she answered, I said, "Hi, beautiful!" The two girls in front of me turned around and gave me "the look." I pointed at the strange growth in my ear and quickly told them I was talking to my wife. They understood and smiled and walked away.
