Good Neighbor Day proves it's best to give and to receive
Kim Jensen's dream to help bring the community closer together lives on.

Jim and Rakini Chinery, owners of Allan's Flowers who bought Prescott Valley Florist from Jensen earlier this year, are making final preparations for the Good Neighbor Day on Sept. 15.

Jensen began the annual event 12 years ago in Prescott Valley, where she and her former crew gave dozens of free roses to customers with the simple request that they keep one and give the others to friends, family or people they come across.

PNI promotes DeWitt, Regnier
Prescott Newspapers Inc. announced this week two promotions from within to the company's leadership team.

Sean DeWitt is taking over as circulation director for PNI. He is replacing Steve Fristoe, who has left the position to be closer to his family in Florida.

The move is effective this week and DeWitt said he is ready and eager to take the position.

Common Ground landscaping business owner sells to CareScape in order to focus on other endeavors
Justin Scott is out of the landscaping arena.

Scott sold Common Ground Services to Surprise, Ariz.-based CareScape Inc. earlier this month.

Scott started the landscaping business in the late 1990s after one of the homeowner associations went to him for help with some maintenance, and he promised to do it for six months.
